A landmark shaped by unity
The temple has nine sides and nine entrances. The design expresses a simple spiritual truth: humanity is one, and the world’s great religions share an essential foundation.
Construction began in April 1957 and took more than four years. Designed by Sydney architect John Brogan, the building was funded by donations from Bahá’ís and opened to the public in September 1961.
