These activities are not programs delivered to a neighbourhood from the outside. They grow through friendship, conversation and the willingness of local people to learn and serve together.

You do not need to be Bahá’í, and there is no cost to participate.

Something for every age and stage.

Each path has its own rhythm, but all of them help people develop spiritual qualities, form friendships and contribute to the common good.

Devotional gatherings

Friends and neighbours share prayers, music and passages from sacred writings in an informal, respectful atmosphere. There are no rituals and no one has a special role.

Children’s classes

Stories, songs, art and games help children explore qualities such as kindness, justice, courage and generosity. Classes are open to children of every background.

Junior-youth groups

Young adolescents build powers of expression, moral insight and a capacity for service through friendship, study, art, sport and practical projects.

Study circles

Small groups study the Bahá’í writings, reflect on life’s deeper questions and learn how spiritual insight can become service in daily life.

Happening in Ryde

In Meadowbank, community is growing across generations.

Since 2022, children’s festivals have helped families meet one another in Meadowbank. Youth-led Friday gatherings and weekly park-based junior-youth groups have followed, with Mongolian families playing an important part in the growing circle of friendship.

Children, young people, parents and grandparents are all finding ways to contribute—and the community is candid about what it is still learning.
